2021 is in the Rearview Mirror. 2022 is the New Adventure!
We made it! 2021 is in the rearview mirror. Whew!
2021 was much better for us than 2020. But it still was far from a year worth repeating. We do have many things to celebrate. That’s what we are focusing on.
In March 2021, I decided to list my house in the crazy housing market. It sold within hours. In 10 days we packed up 18 years of my life in Florida and headed north to Illinois. Because the housing market was so hectic that left us without a place. Thankfully, my sister-in-law opened her home to us while we hunted for our new home.
It didn’t seem like we had that much to move - “just my office” we kept saying. Ha That was beyond laughable. “Just my office” filled a 23-foot truck to the roof. We closed the truck door, added a lock, said a prayer and headed north.
Our move went smoothly. RIGHT when we settled into my sister-in-law’s home, we found our new home. Go figure. In July 2021, we moved into what is now, our very long-term home. I’d like to say forever home, but we never say never, I’ve learned that lesson the hard way! We have moved in and in six short months, the Dream Maker Lab has been set up and is rocking and rolling! So much so, we have added multiple new products that will be rolled out in full force in 2022.
We moved into a much smaller community than we are used to. Population 1.2 million to 30,000. Just a bit smaller! But all has been good. We live in a neighborhood and have made friends and love having a social life on our block.
Because we are now “Up North”, we have a basement aka the lab. It is so nice to have a nice beautiful workspace to ship out all your favorite enamel pins and silicone wristbands. The space has been SO nice to us. We recently added some equipment that allows us to make Christmas ornaments, mugs, tumblers and the cutest makeup/accessory bags!!!! Eeeeeek. We were a bit delayed on the Christmas gift giving season 2021. But we are ready for 2022!
2022 we have our eyes on some prizes. We have been added to Faire.com a wholesale platform. See our wholesale page for our wholesale and Faire info. We look forward to expanding our wholesale partners in 2022.
2022 we have LOTS of new pin designs rolling out. I really hope you like skeletons and sarcasm!

2022 we hope to be up to our eyeballs in ornament orders by Christmas time. We have really fallen in LOVE with making ornaments.

2021 wasn't the best, but it was FAR from the worst. I left 2021 feeling so grateful. I am looking forward to 2022 and all the opportunities ahead.
