Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month

The Heart Rhythm Society is celebrating National Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Awareness Month this September. This life-threatening arrhythmia affects over 8 million people every year and can lead to a stroke within hours of diagnosis! With such high stakes, it's important that we all learn about the symptoms so our loved ones are not left in confusion when they woke up suddenly with difficulty breathing or having trouble moving around on their own--a concerning sign indicating possible recovery from AFib but also potentially indicate something more serious like cardiomyopathy if untreated.
